A Vision for Groveland

Groveland is a community built on strong values—neighbors supporting neighbors, working together to solve problems, and ensuring our town remains a place we are all proud to call home. As we look to the future, we need leadership that is thoughtful, engaged, and committed to making decisions that serve all residents, both today and for years to come.

If elected to the Select Board, my focus will be on accountability, collaboration, and transparency—three principles that are essential to good governance and a thriving community. I believe elected officials must take responsibility for their decisions, work closely with residents and town leaders, and ensure that the public is informed and involved in the decision-making process.

Strong leadership isn’t about making the easiest choices—it’s about making the right ones. It’s about listening, learning, and ensuring that every action taken is in the best interest of our town. With your support, I will bring a thoughtful, engaged, and transparent approach to the Select Board to help shape a future that works for everyone.

Accountability

Elected officials have a responsibility to be accountable to the people they serve. As a member of the Groveland Select Board, I would take that responsibility seriously—owning the decisions I make and ensuring they are guided by the best interests of our community. Accountability means being thoughtful, informed, and willing to make difficult choices when necessary. It also means standing by those decisions with integrity and being open about the reasoning behind them.

From taxes to town services, each choice must be carefully considered, weighing both immediate and long-term effects. Leadership means making informed, thoughtful decisions that serve the best interests of all residents, even when those decisions are challenging. I am committed to listening, engaging, and ensuring that every action taken by the Select Board reflects the needs and priorities of Groveland.

Collaboration

A thriving community depends on collaboration. The Select Board must work closely with other boards and committees, the town administrator, our regional school district, state representatives, and—most importantly—our residents. Open dialogue, shared perspectives, and a willingness to listen are essential to making informed decisions that reflect the needs of the entire community.

The best solutions often come from hearing different viewpoints and being open to having our own ideas challenged. True collaboration means not just speaking, but listening—understanding the challenges faced by different groups and working together to find the best path forward.

If elected, one of my first priorities will be to hold monthly office hours at Town Hall, creating a dedicated space for residents to share their concerns, ideas, and feedback. While I may not always have every answer immediately, I will work to find them or connect residents with the right resources to ensure their voices are heard and their questions addressed.

Transparency

Transparency is essential to building trust and keeping our community informed. Too often, residents feel left in the dark about decisions that affect their daily lives—learning about changes only after they’ve been made. That’s not how government should work.

I am committed to ensuring that residents have clear, timely, and accurate information about the decisions made by the Select Board. Whether it’s a budget decision, a town project, or a policy change, people deserve to know not just what is happening, but why. Transparency means proactively sharing information, explaining the reasoning behind decisions, and making sure residents have opportunities to ask questions and be heard.

If elected, I will push for clearer communication, more accessible updates, and a commitment to keeping residents informed every step of the way. An engaged and informed community is a stronger community, and that starts with transparency.
